幼尚玄谈访圣尊，穷通命数古今存。

难容阔论皆蚩鄙，告退仍循入处门。

Myself when young did eagerly frequent

Doctor and Saint, and heard great Argument

About it and about: but evermore

Came out by the same door where in I went.
