   七律    腊八粥（新韵）

祭神奠祖腊八天，聚物接春旧历年。
南北朝民迎日礼，西方道会送佛缘。
薏仁莲子流清苦，红枣花生溢淡甜。
窗外冰雕粥堵口，室中少小水粘颜。

Title: To celebrate the Eighth day of the twelfth lunar calendar
The eighth day festival to offer sacrifices to God and ancestors,
And to welcome the new year as Spring enters.
People from north and south celebrate the festivals with family members,
With religious doctrines and buddhism professors.
Food like Coix and lotus seeds though tasted bitter,
Red dates and groundnuts are the sweeter.
Outside the window with ice sculptures for porridges,
Inside the room clean water everywhere on faces and mouths.
