蔷薇千朵此晨开，凋零昨日问谁栽。

携来孟夏花争艳，直令诸王歿草莱。

Each Morn a thousand Roses brings, you say;

Yes, but where leaves the Rose of Yesterday?

And this first Summer month that brings the Rose
